The City of Milton is located in Santa Rosa County Florida. It was incorporated in 1844 and is situated 17.4 miles from Pensacola. Milton is home to one of the United States Navy's primary pilot training bases, Naval Air Station Whiting Field (the other base being NAS Corpus Christi, Texas). The station at Whiting Field also provides training for US Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force student pilots, as well as to those of several allied nations.
